Police Find Dog on Church Street
The dog is described as a tan and white female pit bull mix, without a collar, tags, or microchip.
Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Church Street on Tuesday night for a report of a loose dog in traffic.
Once on the scene, an officer encountered a tan and white female pit bull mix, bearing no collar or tags. The dog showed no signs of aggression, and the officer was able to lure the dog into his patrol car. The dog was then taken to the police station to check for a microchip implant, but the search produced negative results.
The dog was transported to the Montgomery County SPCA in Plymouth Township, where it was dropped off. The SPCA issued receipt number R13-006782 for the dog.
