On Wednesday, April 25, shortly before 1:30 a.m., a masked man reportedly demanded money from the clerk at the at Main Street and Haws Avenue, but left empty-handed when the clerk ran to the back room to call police. The clerk described the suspect as white male wearing a dark-colored shirt and jeans.
On Thursday, April 26, shortly before 2 p.m., a victim reported being hit in the back of the head while walking in the 500 block of East Main Street by a man who then stole his wallet and $217 in cash. The victim saw the suspect as he fled the scene south and described him as a black male wearing a black ski mask and dark-colored jeans.
On Friday, April 27, sometime between 3 and 4 a.m., a victim told police a black male in his 20s assaulted him in a parking lot a Lafayette and Barbadoes streets and robbed him of over $500. The victim said he had been drinking at and thinks the attacker followed him from there. He said the man hit him on the head and knocked him unconscious. Police noted the victim was highly intoxicated. He was treated at for his injuries.
