A Norristown man was advised to apply for a Protection From Abuse order after he told police that the mother of his child had damaged his apartment door while trying to get in, a week after she allegedly forcibly entered his apartment and stole his phone, say police.

On Tuesday evening a man told police that he had been in his apartment, at the 0 block of West Airy Street, earlier on, when the mother of his child, standing in the hallway, started shouting at him and banging on his door, according to a Norristown police report.

There was another female in the alleged victim’s apartment. He did not want his child’s mother to come in. He opened the door a bit to converse with her, after which she allegedly pushed on the bottom part of the door, which cracked and bent inward.
