Police Nab Alleged Armed Robber

Norristown police arrested a man accused of several recent armed robberies.

According to reports from the Norristown Police Department, authorities have a arrested a Philadelphia man accused of committing several armed robberies in Norristown in recent weeks.

Police are charging 19-year-old Livingston White, of the 1600 block of Bouvier Street in Philadelphia, with some 50 counts of charges including robbery, assault, reckless endangerment, weapons charges, conspiracy and others stemming from two recent incidents.

According to police, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, shortly after 8:40 p.m. Livingston and an accomplice robbed three men who had come to Norristown to buy a car. The victims told police they had answered a Craigslist ad and spoke to a man who identified himself as "Cross." Cross allegedly told them to come to Norristown to inspect the car.

The three victims reportedly met Cross and another man at the corner of Haws and Washington streets and then travelled to the rear of the 600 West Lafayette Street where the men indicated the car was located. At that location, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a silver revolver and held it to one of the victims' head, demanding the three men hand over everything they had on them. The victims reportedly complied and handed over wallets, cellphones and keys.

After the suspects fled, the men contacted police and were reportedly able to identify White from a police photo array as one of the men who allegedly robbed them.

On Friday, Dec. 14, at approximately 5:56 a.m. officers reportedly responded to the 200 block of Haws Avenue for a report of a robbery. There, police spoke with a resident who said that she and a friend were asleep in bed at 3:30 a.m. when White entered their bedroom and held them up at gunpoint.

White allegedly took $150 and an iPhone from the couple. He then reportedly called another man and asked him if he should kill the couple or let them live. The man reportedly told White to kill them, but White left the apartment without injuring either victim.

On Sunday, Dec. 23, at approximately 2 p.m., police were dispatched again to the 200 block of Haws Avenue for a report of a disturbance involving White. Officers reportedly spotted White running into a house on the 800 block of West Main Street and a search of the property revealed White was hiding in a closet in a first floor apartment. White was reportedly identified and arrested on outstanding warrants.

No one ever deserves to be shot @gotham mayor or then again maybe you should be shot for judging someone you don't even know!! As for your comment Barry J. Chendorain Jr. you don't know him either to speak about him like that. How do you know if maybe he has something he's dealing with and is acting out to get attention. He's never been to jail so how can you say that he's a repeat offender. Know your facts and come correct before you talk about somebody
