Police Searching for Suspects in Citgo Armed Robbery

Two men robbed the Citgo on the 1700 block of Markley Street just after midnight on Tuesday.

Police are searching for two male suspects who robbed the at 1703 Markley Street at gunpoint early this morning. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to reports from the , officers interviewed an employee of the Citgo who stated that at approximately 12:19 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, two men entered the store while he was alone. The first man produced a dark in color semiautomatic handgun and pointed it at the employee, demanding "all of the money." 

The employee opened the register and the second man approached, taking off his backback and emptying the contents of the register into it. The two men then fled the store on foot. The employee did not know how much money was in the register.

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'10" to 6' tall with a thin build and wearing a brown Adidas hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white stripes down the sides and armed with a dark-colored semiautomatic handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a thin build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black shirt underneath, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack with a white design on the top.
