Readers reported an accident this afternoon involving a school bus and a sedan at the intersection Markley and Johnson Highway.

Norristown Patch readers reported an accident this afternoon involving a school bus and a sedan at the intersection Markley and Johnson Highway shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Official accident reports are not yet available, but witnesses at the scene indicate that the bus appeared to be empty of children at the time of the crash. Pictures taken at the scene appear to indicate that the First Student school bus was turning south onto Markley from the east side of Johnson Highway when it collided with a silver four-door sedan turning east onto Johnson Highway from Swede Road.

Norristown Police confirmed that no one was injured in the accident and both vehicles were operation following it. The sedan did sustain some front end damage.
