John Angell, of Smyrna Del., was hired to chauffeur his 7-year-old victim from his father's home in Blue Bell to his mother in Plainview, N.Y.

A 41-year-old Delaware man is behind bars after being sentenced in federal court to 35 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old Blue Bell boy on 12 separate occasions.

According to the Philly.com, John Angell, of Smyrna, Del., was hired to transport the boy and a sibling between their mother's home in Plainview, N.Y. and their father's home in Blue Bell.

The father reportedly hired Angell in 2001 and employed him over a six year period to drive the children, according to court documents. During that time, Angell was occasionally alone with the 7-year-old on several occasions and sexually assaulted him while stopped at various rest areas between New York and Pennsylvania until sometime in 2007.
