UPDATE: Photos From Lafayette Street Fire

The Norristown Fire Department has posted photos from the fire on their website.

The Norristown Fire Department posted pictures from Friday's fire on Lafayette Street. The photos were taken by Joe Piliciki and PhillyFireNews.com.

According to the Norristown Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 600 block of West Lafayette Street shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday night for a fire in a vacant building. On arrival, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the rear of the property.

Once inside, crews found intense flames on the second floor coming from the walls, ceiling and the floor below. The fire also extended into the attic of the building and the attached home.

Additional fire departments from East Norriton, Jefferson, Barren Hill, Swedeland, Good Will, Bridgeport and Conshohocken, as well as responders from Plymouth Ambulance responded to the scene, and crews were able to control the fire within 40 minutes. No injuries were reported.
