An SUV lay in the street flipped on its hood next to a silver Volvo parked in front of the Municipal Hall Wednesday afternoon in Norristown.

An SUV driving on East Airy Street in Norristown Wednesday afternoon is thought to have struck a parked car in front of the Municipal Hall and flipped over, say police.

The incident apparently happened sometime before 4:40 p.m., at which time the black SUV lay flipped in its hood next to a parked silver Volvo that was damaged around the rear of the driver’s side. Two men were said to have been in the SUV.

Norristown Municipal Administrator Crandall Jones said that he was in his office when he heard a loud noise; he came outside in time to see two men crawl out of the overturned vehicle.
