Witnesses Testify in Black Horse Tavern Shooting Trial

Phillip Mullen is accused of shooting Sean McGonagle in the parking lot of the Black Horse Tavern in East Norriton in Dec. 2011.

According to The Times Herald, witnesses testified on Tuesday in the trial of 26-year-old Phillip Mullin who allegedly shot 28-year-old Sean McGonagle in the chest in the parking lot of the Black Horse Tavern in East Norriton on the night of Dec. 23, 2011. McGonagle was left paralyzed from the waist down as a result of his injuries.

The incident reportedly started as an argument in the bar between the two East Norriton men and moved to the parking lot where Mullin allegedly used a Taser on McGonagle and then shot him. Mullin is being charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and other related charges.
