Councilwoman Christian Holding Third District Town Meeting on May 9

Residents will hear updates on the Pennrose Project, Montgomery Hospital and the search for a new police chief and municipal manager.

Councilwoman Linda Christian has scheduled the next Third District town meeting for Thursday, may 9 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library at 1001 Powell Street.

The meeting will feature updates on the proposed Pennrose development project at DeKalb and Airy streets, possible development planned for the former Montgomery Hospital site and the search for a new police chief and municipal manager.

Norristown's Third District includes the neighborhoods between Harding Boulevard to Arch Street and Jacoby Street to Johnson Highway, but all Norristown residents are invited to attend the meeting.

For further information about the meeting or Third District issues, contact Councilwoman Christian at lchristian@norristown.org or call her at 610-960-2280.

Lets get a police chief that actually enforces the law. We don't need someone that will harm women and children in Norristown any more.

Ask Linda Christian why she voted for Pennrose and then put out a letter to editor that she is against it.

Oh and ask her who raised all her campaign funds and who where her donors? I bet she got some big checks from Pennrose. Seems like she is telling residents one thing and accepting kickbacks on the other side.

This town hall meeting is just a publicity stunt for her campaign. She wasn't even able to file her ethics form on time with the municipality. How come she had a problem and all the other candidates, even the new comers, didn't? She says in her robo calls to 3rd district voters that the municipality made the mistake which is a lie. She is the only one to blame about the mistake, no one else. If she lies about this mistake to gain a sympathy vote and if she can't pay attention to such a small detail, do you really want her voting on things like taxes in Norristown? No way.

It would be great Michael if you made some contributing suggestions - campaign fund contributions are public record go take a look -- Vote for Pennrose is that the town news need housing - the letter wasnt against Pennrose read it again ... Why not have a town hall meeting - Publicity stunt or NOT sharing the information is helpful to develop greater understanding of what's going on in Norristown. Let's keep the comments constructive with alternatives...
