Norristown Declares Snow Emergency and Delayed Government Opening

The announcement comes amidst a winter storm warning from the National Weather Service.

Following is a media release provided by the Municipality of Norristown:

The Municipality of Norristown has declared a snow emergency from 6:00 p.m. lasting until January 3rd at 12:00 p.m. The storm will potentially produce 4-6 inches of snow, mainly during the overnight hours with temperatures that will drop rapidly into Friday.  Subzero wind chills are also likely.

The Municipality has implemented a two-hour opening delay on Friday, January 3rd, for all non-essential personnel.  Until further notice, Municipal offices will open at 10:30 a.m.
