The deadline to apply for absentee ballot applications is quickly approaching. The last day to apply for an absentee voting ballot is Tuesday, April 17.
Any voter who expects to be absent from their municipality on Election Day, April 24, or is unable to attend his or her voting place due to illness or physical disability is eligible to apply for an absentee voting ballot.
Applications can be found at many public buildings, including municipal buildings, libraries and liquor stores or you can download the application in our PDF section.
According to the Montgomery County Voter Services website, to apply for absentee voting, a voter must provide:
- Name of registered voter
- Montgomery County address of registered voter
- Address where absentee ballot is to be sent
- Date of birth
- Reason for absentee ballot
- Signature of registered voter requesting the absentee ballot
Applications must be mailed to the Election Board, , P.O. Box 311, Norristown, PA 19404-0311. The Election Board will not accept faxes. The application must be received by on April 17 by 5 p.m. to be registered for absentee voting for the April Pennsylvania primary election.
