Signs Coming for New Commercial Vehicle Parking Ordinance

There will first be a focus on Norristown's known parking problem areas.

Street signs have been ordered for Norristown’s new ordinance that limits when commercial vehicles can be parked in Norristown streets, and for now, the ordinance is not yet being enforced.

According to Robert Glisson, Director of Public Works, they have the truck parking signs on order and they are expected to arrive soon.

Norristown police officer Edward Rambo said that they are currently not enforcing the ordinance.

Glisson said there will be a focus on known problem areas. “We’ll start in those areas, putting them up, and then the enforcement will follow on that,” he said.
