Patch was unable to reach a representative from the company for comment and it's unclear just how many customers are affected by the work. Norristown Municipal Hall, just down the street at 235 E. Airy Street, is still without water service as of 8 a.m. No word yet on when service will be restored.

Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
