Weed & Seed Seeking Proposals For Community Programs

The Weed & Seed Steering Committee is actively soliciting responses to its RFP.

The steering committee for the Norristown Weed & Seed program is currently accepting applications from consultants, governments, non-profits and other service providers who are interested in working with Weed & Seed to further the goals and objectives of the initiative.

Norristown Weed & Seed was  from the state sponsored program that was cut in 2011. That funding will pay for three programs – a parent-oriented support program, a police and youth forum and a capacity-building program for Weed & Seed committee members – and a site coordinator position.

The committee will be holding workshops on Monday, April 2, and Monday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the  for any parties interested in submitting an application. These workshops will be open forums to discuss how to respond to the request for proposals (RFP).

Respondents may submit proposals through April 30. Money awarded from the grant must be spent by Dec. 31, 2012.
