Local Students Honored by Colleges

Quite a few local students have done well in college this past semester, according to the numerous press releases we receive at Patch! Here is a roundup of the most recent batch of honorees. Congratulations to all of them!

• Lara Feldman and Joseph Capece, of Norristown and Gina Villante, of East Norriton, have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Delaware Valley College.

• Patrick Cassidy of Norristown, a senior Communication major, and Melanie Smith of Norristown, a senior Finance major, have been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at the University of Scranton.

• Molly Cooke, a student at Upper Merion Area High School has been selected to represent Pennsylvania as a National Youth Correspondent to the 2013 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University.

• Audra Hall Bailey, a business management major from Norristown, Pa., was named to the 2012-2013 edition of "Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges." Bailey attends the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.

• Bethany Bryde of King of Prussia was named to the Dean's List at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA for the fall semester.

• Jacquelyn Marie Schatz of Norristown has been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University, Clemson, SC for the fall 2012 semester.

• Robert Barth, a business major from Norristown, Kimberly Capaldi, a hospitality management major from Norristown, Nakia Davis, a nursing major from Norristown, Janelle Del Buono, a biology major from Norristown, Christine Dietzel, a psychology major from Norristown, Alexandra Faust, a hospitality management major from East Norriton, Steven Mahoney, a accounting major from Norristown, Kynesa Myler, a nursing major from Norristown, Kanwal Siddiqui, a elementary/early childhood education major from King of Prussia, Andrea Stickley, a political science major from Norristown, and Jeffrey Pecsi, a professional studies major from East Norriton, were all named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Widener University in Chester, PA.

• Kelly D'Addona, Jason Kushner, Weiwei Swei, and Julia Tuhacek, of Norristown were named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Fall 2012.
