Black Friday has marked the start of the holiday shopping season, with big deals from the big box stores and hours spent going from store to store at the mall; Small Business Saturday, in contrast, is a day to shop locally and discover nearby hidden gems while supporting the local business owner who may be your neighbor, or a new acquaintance.

In lieu of participating in today’s Black Friday madness, you can support your local businesses by a simple click to “like” their Facebook pages.
