Norristown’s Khalif Wyatt agreed to contractual terms to play for the 76ers on Thursday night and is supposed to sign on Friday, according to Philly.com.
The rookie from Temple University is supposed to sign a multi-year, partially-guaranteed contract Friday, and is supposed to be on the 76ers’ roster when it opens this season on Oct. 30.
Still, it is possible that he might spend part of the season with the Delaware 87ers, which is his team’s affiliate in the NBA Development League.
The 6’4” 205-pound Wyatt took charge at the 76ers’ Orlando Pro Summer League team, averaging a team-best 13.8 points per game, and solid leadership, passing, and ball-handing.
Wyatt is player of the year for both the Atlantic Ten Conference and the Big Five. He received an honorable-mention all-American and an all-district selection by the NABC and the USBWA
