My son asked to go to Toys R Us on Tues. 12/24/13 (in King of Prussia).  I was hesitant because my son is wheelchair bound and his power chair can be a challenge in crowds.  But he loves the store and we have nothing else to do  -- so off we went.  He was happy looking all over the store as most kids.  Everyone was quite jolly and I noticed a man and his son walking around with Santa hats and I didn't think much of it until the son walked over to me and hands me a card with Merry Christmas on the outside of the envelope. I said, oh thank you and turned to hand it to my son.  When I looked back up they were gone.  I helped my son to open the card and inside the envelope were three, $20 bills!!!!  I was stunned and began to tear up, my son was shrieking with delight, clutching his card.  Thoughts racing in  my head about what a remarkable kid. He was only around 10 or 11 but what really warmed my heart was hope for the future for my son when I am not around.  There are young people like this being raised by parents/guardians who understand .... who are empathetic people ....who are grateful for whatever they have and want to help those who may have challenges.  It certainly makes me hopeful about the future for my son!
