Citizens Bank Donates Backpacks to ACLAMO

Citizens Bank volunteers made a special donation on Thursday, Aug. 16 as part of its annual "Gear for Grades" initiative. Volunteers donated 400 new backpacks to Family Centers in Norristown. The new, logo-free backpacks are stuffed with school supplies such as pencils, pens, crayons, glue sticks, plastic rulers, erasers, safety scissors and spiral notebooks.

The backpacks, made possible through a $30,000 donation from the Citizens Bank Foundation, are a portion of the 3,500 backpacks that will be distributed to local children in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware before the start of the school year.
