‘A Selma Mansion Christmas’ and Norristown Little League Softball Clinic This Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the Norristown area.

Tuesday: find out about veterans’ benefits (and possible benefits for veterans’ widows) presented by the Montgomery County Vet Center and held at the Montgomery County Senior Adult Activities Center in Norristown. Starts 12:15 p.m.

Wednesday: the Norristown Little League will host a girls' softball clinic at the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League’s (GNPAL) in Norristown where girls ages 7 to 18 who are Norristown residents can come and play. No experience is necessary. From 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Saturday: the First Baptist Church of Norristown is holding a free breakfast with St. Nick, where guests can visit their Norristown location for a pancake and sausage breakfast, craft-making for kids, decorating and eating Christmas cookies and more. From 9 a.m.

Saturday: historic Selma Mansion in Norristown will be the lovely location for "A Selma Mansion Christmas," where guests will enjoy 18th and 19th century yuletide customs in America. There will be music, crafts, a presentation on Civil War fashion, Santa Claus and more. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children age 5-12 years and veterans (proof of service required). The event is free for children under 5 years old and active-duty military personnel.  Proceeds help to restore the mansion.
