Halloween Step Show and Battle of the Bands, Farmer’s Market This Week
A look at a few of the events this week in the Norristown area.
Wednesday: a free workshop will instruct small businesses how to apply for a Norristown Micro-Loan, which range from $2,500 to $50,000, held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Norristown Municipal Building at 235 East Airy Street.
Thursday: the Norristown’s Farmer’s Market will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., bringing fresh, local produce to the base of the county courthouse. CADCOM’s nutrition tent stationed next to the market helps seniors sign up for a supplemental box of nutritious food.
Thursday: trick-or-treating in Norristown, East Norriton and West Norriton.

Thursday, Oct. 31: The Kingdom Family Fellowship is hosting a ‘Hallelujah Night’ with fun, games, costumes and more for children and families held at the Faith & Hope Church of the Nazarene in Norristown. Children ages 5-13 are welcome with supervision to enjoy games and snacks and to dress in costumes that evoke the bible; there will be a prize for the best biblical costume. According to Pastor Marvin Savage, it is a night for fun and fellowship.
Friday: the Montgomery County Opportunities Industrialization Center in Norristown will host a Halloween Step Show and Battle of the Bands from 7-10 p.m. where students from historically black higher education institutions show off their moves, along with marching bands. Tickets are $15.
