Live Jazz and a “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” Series Release Celebration This Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the Norristown area.

Tuesday: Kids ages 6-12 can celebrate about the release of “Hard Luck,” the latest book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library in Norristown at 2 p.m. There will be activities, games and a contest to win a copy of the book.

Wednesday: Children ages 3-6 years old who are learning English can enjoy an “interactive activity hour” starting 4 p.m. with games, art, music, books and a chance to converse at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library in Norristown. Children should come with a caregiver.

Saturday: August Moon restaurant in Norristown will feature live jazz from 8-11 p.m.

Saturday: The Haws Avenue United Methodist Church in Norristown is holding an all-you-can eat fundraising pork, kielbasa and sauerkraut dinner starting 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $11 at the door for adults and $5 for children 3-10 years old. Children 3 years and under eat free. Take-out is $11.
