NASD Athletic Director Meeting, Business Networking Event This Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the Norristown area.

Tuesday: Norristown Area Communities That Care for Youth (CTC) is sponsoring the Strengthening Families Program, which helps families find a way to have fun together and bond. It is a free, 7-week program that meets one night a week. Held on Tuesday 6-8:30 p.m. at Faith and Hope Church, at 115 West Freedley St. in Norristown. Thursday: ACPPA Community Art Center is hosting ‘Art After Work,’ a business networking event at the art center where business professionals can drink, munch and mingle. RSVP by Jan. 29. At 506 Haws Ave., Norristown, from 5-7 p.m.

Thursday: the Norristown Area School District will hold a community meeting where attendees can provide input about the selection of the district’s new athletic director. It will be held at the Norristown Area High School, 1900 Eagle Dr., Norristown, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Saturday: Islamic Society of Norristown is hosting a ‘Meet Your Neighbor Social’ open house event with donuts, bagels and beverages. At 518 Green St., Norristown. From 1 p.m.
