New Year’s Eve Bowling, Kids’ Winter Fun Day This Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the Norristown area.

Monday: the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library in Norristown is hosting a Winter Fun Day for ages 5-12 years old, with games, winter crafts and a movie. Guests can just drop in. From 2-3:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Facenda Whitaker Lanes in East Norriton will have New Years Eve and New Years Day specials, with drink specials, food from Steppy's Bar & Grill and a laser light show. Reservations are encouraged, as the event might sell out. The first spots begin at 9 a.m. on New Year’s Eve and the last spots begin at 4 p.m. on New Year’s day.   

Tuesday: the Old Hungarian Club in Phoenixville is hosting a New Year’s Eve bingo. The doors open at 6 p.m. and games start at 8 p.m. Admission is $30. There will be food, drinks and a guaranteed jackpot.

Tuesday: Roller’s Flying Fish in Chestnut Hill is offering a three-course New Year’s Eve special with champagne at midnight. Tickets at $70. Starts at 8:30 p.m.

Friday: this is game day at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library in Norristown, where kids and their friends can a game of Yu-Gi-Oh! or Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the Wii. From 4-5 p.m.
