Norristown Area High School is the only public high school serving Norristown. The school is part of the Norristown Area School District, which also has two middle schools, six elementary schools and two acadamies.
The high school has comprehensive program of sports, musical groups, co-curricular and extracurricular activities including Army JROTC, cultural, service, and drama clubs. It also features a state-of-the-art television studio that broadcasts news and original programming internally and on a community access cable channel.
The school colors are blue and white and the school mascot is an eagle.
