UPDATE: VIDEO: Alleged Ambulance Thief's Wild Ride Through Norristown
Plymouth Ambulance has released live footage from alleged ambulance thief Carlos Bouie's joyride through the streets of Norristown.
Norristown Police arrested 39-year-old Carlos Bouie on Thursday, July 26, after a standoff on the 300 block of East Penn Street that lasted over six hours and ended with Bouie surrending to authorities and being transported to Montgomery County Emergency Services for evaluation. Bouie is being charged with the theft of a Plymouth Ambulance that was stolen from the scene of a medical emergency at the Department of Public Welfare on New Hope Street late Wednesday afternoon, July 25. Plymouth Police found the abandoned ambulance more than half an hour later at Curren Terrace Garden Apartments off of Tremont Avenue, not far from where it had been stolen.
