1. Norristown Area High School celebrates its senior class’ commencement tonight. Congratulations on all of your wonderful accomplishments (especially this one), Class of 2011! 2. Alex’s Lemonade Stand was founded in 2000 by 4-year-old cancer patient Alex Scott. Though she unfortunately passed away a few years later at the age of 8, her legacy lives on in Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer, based in Wynnewood. Today and tomorrow, recognize Alex’s Lemonade Stand’s eighth annual “Lemonade Days.” Go out to Salter’s on Ridge Pike in Eagleville to help a good cause, and shop the flea market for Father’s Day! 3. Two lucky local winners are each getting a pair of free passes to a special advance screening of 'Beastly'

Congratulations to Kelly Devine and Rachel Fecho who both correctly identified the Elmwood Park Bocce Court in our "Find Me Friday" photo contest. Both Kelly and Rachel will receive a pair of tickets to attend a special advance screening of "Beastly" at the United Artists King of Prussia Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. "Beastly" is a modern-day take on the "Beauty and the Beast" tale where a New York teen is transformed into a hideous monster to find true love. I play in the summer league on Sunday nights. It is a fun game. We also have a caner tournament every Obctober. My sister help start it . She is no longer with but thanks to to the great people in the Norristown Bocce League the tournament still goes on in he memory.   more ›
