The infant stopped breathing. Cause of death is being investigated.
A 3-month-old baby girl died Wednesday when she stopped breathing. Her mother, a Norristown resident, was visiting the Ludington Library in Bryn Mawr, according to authorities. After attempts to rescue the child failed, she was pronounced dead at Bryn Mawr Hospital, said reports. Bryn Mawr Patch reports that the infant's death will be investigated. On Saturday, emergency responders from all over Montgomery County joined Plymouth Ambulance in delivering a bit of holiday joy to sick children.
This Saturday, Dec. 15, some area residents caught a glimpse of an impromptu parade courtesy of emergency responders from all over Montgomery County. Firetrucks, ambulances, and police and county sheriff's vehicles made their way from Plymouth Community Ambulance Association's headquarters on Germantown Road in Plymouth to Bryn Mawr and St. Christopher's hospitals sirens sounding and loaded for bear with toys for the children. This was third year for the annual run and the urge to do something for children suffering at holiday time took on a very poignant meaning after the tragedy on Friday. Lillian Monica Organtini is baby No. 2 for her family.
The ball had barely dropped, and fireworks were still shooting off all over the Main Line, when Bryn Mawr Hospital delivered its first baby of 2012. Lillian Monica Organtini was born at 12:07 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces, said Main Line Health manager of communications Bridget Therriault. Lillian is the second child of Christina and Randy Organtini, residents of the Jeffersonville section of West Norriton, Montgomery County. Her older sister, Olivia, is 4.

My wife was there when it happened. The mother had been breastfeeding and came out of the bathroom hysterical with a blue infant in her arms. Seriously doubt this was intentional. The hospital is two blocks away.   more ›
