CBN Looking for Quality Candidates to Run for Office

Citizens for a Better Norristown aims to encourage and support average citizens with little political experience who want to run for office in Norristown, East Norriton and West Norriton.

More the three dozen residents turned out for a reception at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library on Monday evening hosted by grassroots political group Citizens for a Better Norristown (CBN). According to members of the group, the aim of the evening was to introduce average citizens to the political process and encourage residents to run for local office.  "We want to see good, quality people in office," said John Milligan, an executive committee member of CBN. This election season, the organization hopes to identify and support candidates, increase voter participation and educate voters. I certainly hope we have some diverse, well qualified candidates run in Norristown. I would be behind them 100%. I'm not sure who would want to spend all of this time running for office but I remain hopeful of good candidates coming forward.   more ›
