The third-annual college fair, hosted by Montgomery County Community College and Greater Norristown Police Athletic League, will have nearly 40 attending colleges.
The Greater Norristown Regional College Fair will be held on Feb. 21 at the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League (GNPAL). Going into its third year, the college fair will host nearly 40 accredited colleges and universities. Over 125 high school students from around Montgomery County, in grades nine through 12, as well as their families, are expected and encouraged to attend. In addition, college students interested in transferring and adult students, are also welcomed to the event. “It’s open to the public, just come on in,” Maggie Hall, a GNPAL board of directors member, said. Former Norristown Police Chief William Bambi remembered and some great things happening around town are just a few of the things other media outlets are writing about Norristown around the Web.
The Times Herald reports that Tatiana Berry, of Haws Avenue, was charged with allegedly assaulting her ex-boyfriend with a boxcutter and threatening his sister with a stun gun on Monday afternoon. Berry, 22, reportedly came to an East Spruce Street residence looking for her ex-boyfriend, who is the father of her child, to collect child support. She argued with him and allegedly swung a boxcutter, cutting his arm and leg. Berry later reportedly threatened his sister with a stun gun who then called the police. The Herald remembers William J. Bambi, Norristown's Chief of Police from 1980 to 1992, who passed away Monday at the age of 72.
