Join the ENPD this Saturday at Dunkin' Donuts and get to know your local police officers.
The East Norriton Police Department is inviting residents to come out from 9 to 11 a.m this Saturday to the new Dunkin' Donuts in Hilcrest Plaza, 100 West Germantown Pike, for the 2nd annual "Coffee with the Cops." This meet and greet is an opportunity for residents to get to know some of the officers serving and protecting their neighborhoods. There is no agenda or guest speaker, just an opportunity to sit and talk to officers over a cup of coffee. The event is free and open to all East Norriton residents.

Local residents who aided police in the investigation were also honored at West Norriton's Board of Commissioners' meeting.
According to The Times Herald, 12 officers from four area municipalities were honored on Tuesday night at West Norriton's Board of Commissioners' meeting for their role in the capture of three men alleged to have robbed a Wine & Spirits Shoppe in Norristown and a Dunkin' Donuts in West Norriton. West Norriton Police Chief Robert Adams awarded commendations to the following officers: "Because of the quick response, obtaining detailed descriptions of the actor and vehicle, timely radio flash messages and excellent cooperation between area departments, the apprehension of a very dangerous subject was brought to a quick conclusion with no injuries," said Adams, according to the Herald. Norristown Police have confirmed that the three suspects in the armed robbery of the West Norriton Dunkin' Donuts on the afternoon of Saturday, June 2, are the same alleged actors who robbed the Wine & Spirits Shoppe on West Marshall Street in Norristown less than a half hour earlier. "The three males were charged with both robberies," said Norristown Detective Sgt. Michael Crescitelli. "The two robberies are on the same criminal complaint even though it is two jurisdictions." Police reportedly have three suspects in custody in connection with the afternoon hold up of a Dunkin' Donuts in West Norriton.
West Norriton Police reportedly have apprehended three men who allegedly were involved in the armed robbery of the Dunkin' Donuts on Ridge Pike in West Norriton shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon. According to The Times Herald, witnesses reported to police that a black male, 30 to 40 years old robbed the Dunkin' Donuts using a silver handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount. Outside the store, the suspect reportedly got into an car with another man at the wheel. East Norriton Police reportedly identified a vehicle in travelling through their township matching the description of the getaway vehicle and took the suspects into custody in the parking lot of Facenda-Whitaker Lanes.
