Bridgeport Couple Faces Child Endangerment Charges for Starving Son
Doctor's called the 6-year-old boy's condition "one of the worst cases of malnutrition they've ever seen."
According to several media outlets, Victor and Olaifa Ramos, of Bridgeport, are facing charges including simple and aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal conspiracy for starving their 6-year-old son. The boy weighed only 29 pounds when doctors at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia encountered him. According to ABC Action News, the investigation into the couple began three months ago when the couple brought the boy to CHOP at death's door. Can anyone please tell us who makes these decisions to return a child to their parents when a child is brought in to a hospital in the condition he was in and then spent a month there recovering. When God was handing out "brains", these people thought he said "trains" and they didn't want any!! Our justice system needs a complete overhaul and people with an ounce of common sense.   more ›
