Shots Fired at Green and Jacoby Streets, Cars Damaged, No Injuries Reported

Neighbors report hearing a number of shots fired in the area Tuesday afternoon.

At the same time firefighters were responding to a house fire in the 600 block of West Main Street on Tuesday afternoon, Norristown Police were rushing to the corner of Jacoby and Green streets for a report of multiple shots fired in the area. Officers cordoned off the corner at approximately 4 p.m. on April 2, and canvased the street and the surrounding area for evidence and spent shell casings. Several casings were visible in the street. No victims were reported injured in the incident, but according to The Times Herald, the windows of at least five cars were damaged by the gunfire. $5,000 Reward for Information in the Shooting Death of Ryan Ladson-Singleton

Ryan Ladson-Singleton, 21, was shot and killed in the 600 block of Green Street in the early morning hours of Oct. 20.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Norristown Police Chief Russell Bono have announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the homicide of 21-year-old Ryan Ladson-Singleton on Saturday, Oct. 20. Ladson-Singleton was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Saturday in the 600 block of Green Street in Norristown. Police arrived on the scene shortly after 2 a.m. that morning and discovered Ladson-Singleton lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and torso. UDATE: No Suspects in Fatal Shooting on 600 Block of Green Street

Few details are available in the early morning shooting that reportedly claimed the life of a young man.

UPDATE: [9 a.m.] Norristown Police Detective Lt. Michael Crescitelli confirmed that a 21-year-old black male was shot and killed on the 600 block of Green Street just after 2 a.m. on Saturday morning, Oct. 20. The young man, whose identity is being withheld until his family can be contacted, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from a gunshot wound to the head. At this time, police have no suspects in the crime and only a description of a black male in a black hoody as a possible shooter. Police: Thursday Night Shooting Result of a Fight Over a Woman

Two men were shot Thursday night after a fistfight over a woman escalated to a knife fight and then gunplay.

More details have emerged from last night's shooting at Green and Spruce streets that sent two men to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Norristown Police Chief Russell Bono told The Times Herald that the shooting was the result of a dispute over a woman that escalated. "The shooting was the culmination of a dispute over a woman that started at 9:45 p.m. outside of a house in the 100 block of Ann Street," Chief Bono told the Herald. "There were two men fighting in the street. One man pulled a knife during that fight. The other man ran into the girlfriend’s house to get away from the man with the knife. Two Men Injured, One Man in Custody in Thursday Night Shooting

Details are still forthcoming, but at least one suspect is in custody and two men suffered gunshot wounds to the leg.

As reported late last night, Norristown Police were dispatched to the area of East Spruce and Green streets for a report of shots fired at approximately 10:30 p.m. While en route to the scene, officers were informed that approximately 10 to 12 shots were heard and there was at least one victim shot and sitting on the corner. There were also informed of another victim shot lying in the street. Police were also given a description of two suspects alleged to be involved in the shooting – two black males, one wearing a black shirt and khaki pants and the other wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. Green Street Shooting a Robbery Gone Wrong

Police are searching for two suspects in the shooting of 43-year-old Norristown man who tried to fight them off when they attempted to rob him at gun point.

Authorities are searching for two suspects in last night's shooting on the 800 block of Green Street that sent a Norristown man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. According to a report from the Norristown Police Department, officers responded to the scene shortly after midnight on Thursday, Aug. 16 and discovered the victim, a 43-year-old man, lying on the front steps of a home on the street. The victim was bleeding profusely from several gunshot wounds to the stomach, thigh and arm. The man was conscious, but unable to relate to officers what had happened. Paramedics from Plymouth Ambulance Company arrived and reportedly stabilized the victim and prepared him for medevac to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. …

Shooting Reported Just After Midnight in Norristown

A male victim was medevaced to a Philadelphia hospital after reportedly being shot in the stomach several times.

Norristown Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Green St. just after midnight for a report of a shooting. One unidentified male victim was reportedly shot several times in the stomach and flown by PennSTAR to the Hospital of the University of Philadelphia Trauma Center for treatment. Emergency responders on the scene described him as being in stable condition according to the Breaking News Network. Police remain on scene and are searching for evidence and information about the incident. Norristown Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: Preschool Minivan Crashes Into Green Street Home

The driver was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

UPDATE: The Times Herald reports that yesterday's crash was the result of another car. Allegedly, a man driving an Acura rear ended the Ford Aerostar being driven by a 51-year-old Norristown woman. Both vehicles were attempting to turn left onto Green Street when the accident occured. “The woman said she turned left into the alley and was rear ended,” Norristown Police Chief Russell Bono told The Herald. “A 7-year–old female child sitting in the back seat of the van received a bump on her forehead.
