A child was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Jacoby and Green streets shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. According to sources, the driver of the striking vehicle was female, and she remained on scene and gave a report to police. The victim – a young boy who is roughly five-years-old – was transported from the scene by ambulance to Einstein Montgomery Hospital in East Norriton, according to @PADriverWatch. According to one of the victim's family members, he is doing OK and is undergoing tests at the hospital. Sarah Ann Derstein, 31, had a BAC of .167 when she allegedly hit Dennis Kee, 15, of Hatfield, April 26. Police said Derstein was reading a text message at the time of the accident.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman and Hatfield Township Police Chief Mark Toomey said Sarah Ann Derstein had a BAC level more than twice the legal limit and was reading a text message when she allegedly struck and killed Dennis Kee, 15, of Hatfield, on April 26 on Route 309. Man Charged with DUI After Allegedly Passing Out at McDonald's Drive-Thru: According to a report in the Limerick Patch, a 27-year-old man has been charged with four counts of DUI after he allegedly passed out in his vehicle while at the McDonald's drive-thru. Philadelphia and local authorities are searching for 27-year-old Christopher Stegall of Middleton Place in West Norriton in connection with last night's hit-and-run assault of a Philadelphia police officer in Olney.
Norristown Patch has learned, and Philadelphia police have confirmed that authorities are searching for 27-year-old Christopher M. Stegall, of 207 Middleton Place in West Norriton. Stegall is wanted for allegedly injuring a Philadelphia police officer last night after a routine traffic stop resulted in Stegall dragging the officer with his 2011 black Ford F150 for a full city block. The officer was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle and related injuries. Authorities have not released a photo of the suspect, but describe him as a 27-year-old black male with a light complexion. Stegall is reportedly 6’2” tall and weighs 170 lbs. He is also reportedly covered in tattoos on his chest, shoulders, arms and lower back. Stegall was last …
