Tredyffrin authorities and Chester County detectives are investigating the home invasion robbery and kidnapping of an East Norriton business owner Thursday night.
UPDATE: [2/1/13; 11:25 a.m.] East Norriton Police are assisting Tredyffrin Police and Chester County Detectives in the investigation of the home invasion robbery and kidnapping of the owner of Shuler's Jewelers in East Norriton. According to East Norriton Police, their officers responded to the business location at 110B West Germantown Pike at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 for a report of a robbery in progress. On the scene, the met with the victim, who reported he was taken from his home in Tredyffrin by three of four armed black males wearing masks and transported to to the scene in East Norrtion for the purposes of robbing his business. Police in Bucks, Montgomery, and Lehigh counties were searching Friday afternoon for two suspects wanted in connection with a fatal home invasion just off Route 309 in Hilltown Township, Bucks County. One subject was described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, "broad shouldered" and "muscular." The second was described as a smaller, Asian male wearing a black jacket and cargo pants. Both were wearing masks at the time of the incident. The men are believed to be in a black 2007 Lincoln pickup truck belonging to one of the victims of the incident. The incident took place at about 10:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The suspect accosted the 73-year-old victim in his apartment and took $35.
Police are investigating a home invasion robbery at the Logan Square Apartments in which a suspect stole $35 at knife point from an elderly resident. Officers responded to the apartment complex in the 400 block of West Logan Street at approximately 5:33 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, for a report of robbery. On the scene, police spoke with the victim, a 73-year-old resident of complex who reported that he was inside his apartment when he heard the buzzer for the lobby door ringing. He initially ignored it, but after it continued to ring, he reportedly left the apartment to investigate and while in the hallway outside of his apartment, spotted the suspect. According to 6ABC Action News, Upper Merion Police are searching for suspects in a home invasion robbery on the 400 block of Upper Gulph Road in Upper Merion on Monday, Nov. 12, that left an 83-year-old man injured. "It's a secluded neighborhood," neighbor Glenn Marinaccio told Action News. "There's not a lot of traffic going by. It's really unnerving." The suspects reportedly knocked on the door of the victim's home sometime around 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon and hit him in the head and face with a gun when he answered. Police have not yet identified any suspects in Monday's home invasion robbery of a West Ambler residence, but Whitpain Police Chief Mark Smith said they are hoping to review video surveillance footage of the suspects as they fled the scene. As many as five men wearing ski masks forced their way into the home on Railroad Avenue early Monday afternoon before tying up the occupants and holding some at gunpoint while the house was robbed. Family members reportedly held captive during armed robbery.
Four men broke into a Whitpain home and "terrorized" the family inside early Monday afternoon, WPVI-TV reports. The perpetrators wore ski masks and fled through the back door with money and jewelry when a neighbor knocked on the front door, WPVI reported. The @MontcoAlerts account on Twitter, which usually relies upon emergency radio transmissions in its reports, described the subjects as possibly 3-4 black males and indicated the homeowner was held at gunpoint. @MontcoAlerts previously reported that the occupants of the home had been tied up during the incident. According to the The Times Herald, Police from East Norriton, West Norriton and Whitpain converged on the 2900 block of Barbara Drive in East Norriton at approximately 1 p.m. today to search for four suspects in a home invasion in that neighborhood. A neighbor reportedly described the four men who allegedly threatened a woman and her son with a bb gun and knives in their home as being young adults. Sean Wise, 23, was apprehended by police after a short chase and being subdued with a Tasered.
According to The Times Herald, a Norristown man was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 28, on simple assault, burglary and other related charges for allegedly breaking into a neighbor's apartment and attacking her sometime around 11:30 p.m. that night. Police reportedly arrived at the scene and found 23-year-old Sean Wise, outside the residence and after a brief chase, officers reportedly subdued him with a Taser. The victim told police Wise broke into her apartment, hit her and then forced her to the couch where he began to choke her. She was able to break free and met police outside.
