The Norristown Fire Department posted pictures from Friday's fire on Lafayette Street. The photos were taken by Joe Piliciki and PhillyFireNews.com. More information available on NFD's website. According to the Norristown Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 600 block of West Lafayette Street shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday night for a fire in a vacant building. On arrival, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the rear of the property. Once inside, crews found intense flames on the second floor coming from the walls, ceiling and the floor below. No one was injured and the blaze was brought under control within 40 minutes.
According to the Norristown Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 600 block of West Lafayette Street shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday night for a fire in a vacant building.
