Warrant for Drug Felonies Issued Against Missing Lansdale Man

Lansdale Police continue their effort to find 38-year-old Joseph Sarni, and have issued an arrest warrant for numerous alleged drug offenses.

While missing Lansdale resident Joseph Sarni, 38, has yet to be found, Lansdale Police have issued an arrest warrant in his absence charging him with felony and misdemeanor drug possession and dealing offenses. Lansdale Police released the following statement following the issuance of the arrest warrant: A number of our officers know Joe through the local businesses he worked for. Though an arrest warrant has been issued, our primary focus is to continue to investigate Joe’s recent disappearance and ensure his safe return.      The warrant charges Sarni with the following narcotics offenses: In June 2012, Lansdale Police received information that Sarni was allegedly selling cocaine, marijuana and narcotics in the borough. Search Planned Tonight for Missing Lansdale Man; Family Suspects Foul Play

Joe Sarni, 38, was last seen July 8 leaving his apartment at 355 Walnut Street in Lansdale. Family and friends have organized a search for him on Thursday night.

An effort is underway to find Joe Sarni, a missing Lansdale man who was last seen July 8 leaving his apartment at 355 Walnut Street. His family suspects foul play, according to his sister Jamie Sarni Parsons. Sarni is 38 years old, 5'8" tall with black hair. He has a scar under each eye and tattoos on his arms, with distinguishable ones being a lizard and tribal symbols. He also has a Celtic heart tattoo on his right chest. Sarni, who has DJ'd across the United States, recently settled in Lansdale. He attended Upper Dublin High School. Parsons said witnesses told her they saw her brother with another man outside his apartment before his disappearance. Local Rapper 'Beanie Sigel' Sentenced for Failure to Pay Taxes

Lansdale's Dwight Grant, AKA Beanie Sigel, was sentenced to two years in prison.

According to a release issued by U.S Department of Justice, 38-year-old Dwight Grant, of Lansdale, also known as rapper "Beanie Sigel," was sentenced today to 24 months in prison for failing to file federal income tax returns. Grant pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 9, 2011. He was ordered to report to prison on Sept. 12 of this year. Grant, a former member of Dame Dash Music Group and a regular artist with Roc-A-Fella Records ran in the same circles with hip hop artist, Freeway and superstar Jay-Z.  According to the charges, between 2003 and 2005, Grant earned over $1 million and owed approximately $348,077 in federal income taxes that he never paid.  Grant also failed to file income tax returns or pay income tax during tax years 1999 …

Philly Man Wanted in Lansdale Pursuit

Lansdale Police are searching for a Philadelphia man wanted for evading police during a high-speed pursuit in March. Ansord Rashied, 32, of the 4700 block of Wallace Place, Philadelphia, also has an active warrant for burglary in Whitemarsh Township. Police believe Rashied may be residing in the Norristown or Collegeville area. Police said that on March 31, 2012 at 8 p.m., police responded to 639 South Broad Street to investigate a suspicious auto, identified as a dark blue 2003 Honda Pilot. A police officer approached and spoke with the driver of the Pilot, identified as Rashied, police said. Lansdale Opposes Renaming of PA Turnpike Exit

Lansdale Borough Council will lobby Harrisburg to prevent a proposed name change by Towamencin Township of the Lansdale Pennsylvania Turnpike exit from Lansdale to Kulpsville

Towamencin Township Supervisors plan to ask the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to change the name of the Lansdale interchange of Interstate 476 to Kulpsville. Lansdale Borough says not so fast. According to The Reporter Online, Towamencin Township Supervisors Chairman Dan Littley said supervisors expect the PTC to agree with the request and revert the name back to Kulpsville as it was up until the late 1970s. Littley was quoted in The Reporter as such: “Too many officials come to this community and welcome everyone to Lansdale. We are not Lansdale.” At the June 20 Lansdale Borough Council meeting, councilman Jack Hansen proposed a vote for the borough to lobby Harrisburg to prevent the name change. Masturbator Suspect Boyce Charged with Attempted Rape in Philly in 2000

The charge was eventually dropped by the prosecution, but Boyce pleaded guilty to indecent assault and corrupting a minor

This isn't Gerald F. Boyce Jr.'s first brush with the law over indecent exposure and corruption of minors charges. Boyce Jr., 40, of Wissahickon Avenue in Lansdale, the suspect in the Lansdale serial masturbation spree between June 2011 and May 2012, was charged by Philadelphia Police in June 2000 with attempted rape, sexual assault and corruption of minors, as well as additional charges. Furthermore, Boyce Jr. was charged in 1999 by Philadelphia Police with indecent exposure and open lewdness. He was also found guilty in 1997 of indecent exposure, open lewdness and corruption of a minor. Gerald Boyce Jr., of the 600 block of Wissahickon Avenue, Lansdale, on Thursday afternoon waived all charges against him during a preliminary hearing before District Judge Harold Borek to arraignment at the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in July. Boyce will be arraigned in county court on July 18 at 9:30 a.m. Boyce is a suspect in five public masturbation incidents wherein eight of the 10 victims were underage. Boyce, 40, the father of an 8-year-old daughter, is suspected of being the serial masturbator that has been targeting teenage girls and women in and around Lansdale train station since June 2011, according to police.
