Firefighters Visit Area Preschool for Fire Safety Week

Preschoolers learned about "Stop, Drop and Roll" and about fire escape plans.

The Lower Providence Fire Department visited Chesterbrook Academy in Audubon on Thursday, Oct. 11, to participate in the preschool’s Fire Safety Week. The preschoolers met official firefighters who provided lessons about fire safety. Students learned the “stop, drop and roll” technique as well as the importance of fire escape plans in school and in their homes. Firefighters also demonstrated how their safety equipment worked and students explored the department’s fire truck.
