The competition features 32 teams of students from high schools all over the county.
According to a release issued by the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA), students from Norristown Area High School will join over 30 teams from other Montgomery County high schools to compete for the district crown in Pennsylvania's mock trial program at the Montgomery County Courthouse. Now in its 28th year, Pennsylvania’s statewide Mock Trial Competition (sponsored by MBA’s Young Lawyers Section and Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division) includes over 280 high schools from across the Commonwealth, making it one of the largest programs of its kind in the nation. Members of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section hosted a member-wide toy drive.
According to a release issued by the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA), members of the MBA’s Young Lawyers Section recently hosted a member wide toy drive in support of Toys for Tots. In addition to promoting the campaign at various Bar events throughout the holiday season, gifts were collected at their annual holiday gathering, which took place Dec. 19 at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken. Dozens of new, unwrapped toys were collected for the cause.

Earlier this summer, the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA) held its annual Legal Aid Golf Classic at Bellewood Country Club in North Coventry. With matching funds from the MBA and Montgomery Bar Foundation (MBF), the event netted an amazing $38,000 for Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania (LASP). The annual day-long golf outing is held jointly by the MBA and MBF to raise awareness and funds for LASP – a non-profit organization that provides pro bono legal representation and assistance to low-income and vulnerable people in Montgomery and neighboring counties. The Young Lawyers broke their nine-year losing streak last night, defeating the Old Lawyers 13-7.
The Montgomery Bar Association held it's annual "Young Lawyers vs. Old Lawyers" softball game Tuesday at Norristown Area High School, a tradition it's upheld for over 50 years. The Old Lawyers had dominated the game, winning nine of the last 10 years' outings. Although they took an early lead over the youngsters and played with gusto, the Young Lawyers won the day 13-7.
