UPDATE: Police ID Wanted Man From Wednesday's Search

Cole Manor Elementary and Penn Christian Academy were put on lockdown while police searched for a probation/parole violator who was reportedly seen in the area.

UPDATE: [1/30/13; 5:30 p.m.] Authorities have identified the suspect in the Wednesday search that caused two East Norriton schools to be placed on lockdown. According to Norristown Police Detective Lt. Michael Crescitelli, authorities were searching for Rashaad Grayson on a state parole warrant. Grayson reportedly fled in a car which was later found abandoned at Norriton Fire Engine Company in East Norriton. He has currently not been aprehended. UPDATE: West Norriton Fugitive in Custody; Charged with Aggravated Assault and Related Offenses

Christopher Stegall, who was wanted in connection with the hit-and-run assault of a police officer in the Olney section of the city, has reportedly surrendered to Philadelphia police.

UPDATE: Philadelphia Police told The Times Herald that Christopher Stegall turned himself at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at a North Broad Street police station. A spokesperson told the Herald that Stegall will be charged with "aggravated assault and related offenses." West Norriton Deputy Police Chief Dale Mabry told the Herald that additional charges in Philadelphia could include simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, fleeing police and possession of an instrument of crime.  --- Original Story: According to both 6ABC Action News and CBS3, Christopher Stegall, the 27-year-old West Norriton man who authorities have been searching for since Tuesday night, surrendered to Philadelphia police Thursday evening. Philly PD IDs Olney Hit-and-Run Suspect

Philadelphia and local authorities are searching for 27-year-old Christopher Stegall of Middleton Place in West Norriton in connection with last night's hit-and-run assault of a Philadelphia police officer in Olney.

Norristown Patch has learned, and Philadelphia police have confirmed that authorities are searching for 27-year-old Christopher M. Stegall, of 207 Middleton Place in West Norriton. Stegall is wanted for allegedly injuring a Philadelphia police officer last night after a routine traffic stop resulted in Stegall dragging the officer with his 2011 black Ford F150 for a full city block. The officer was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle and related injuries. Authorities have not released a photo of the suspect, but describe him as a 27-year-old black male with a light complexion. Stegall is reportedly 6’2” tall and weighs 170 lbs. UPDATE: Local Police Seek Philly Hit & Run Suspect

Authorities say the fugitive is still at large, but have still not released his identity. The suspect is wanted by Philadelphia police in connection with the Olney hit-and-run that sent a police officer to the hospital.

Update: West Norriton Police Chief Robert Adams has confirmed that the subject of last night's manhunt in West Norristown and Norristown was, in fact, the suspect in the Olney hit-and-run that sent a Philadelphia police officer to the hospital with a brocken ankle. Third Victim in Gilbertsville Shooting Dead

Monica Shay died Thursday. She and her husband, Paul Shay, owned the house in Gilbertsville, Douglass Township where they and three others were shot on Saturday.

A third victim in Saturday's shooting is dead. Monica Shay, 58, died Thursday, said Paul Hoffman, Deputy Coroner for Lehigh Valley County. The exact cause of her death is undetermined, he said. An autopsy will be conducted at 8 a.m. on Friday. Shay was shot in the head at a Renninger Road, Gilbertsville, Douglass Township house she owned with her husband Paul Shay, 64. On Sunday, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Douglass Township Police Chief Barry L. Templin Jr. identified the victims in the shooting as Paul Shay and his wife, Monica, Joseph Shay, Kathryn Erdmann and her son, Gregory. Alleged Murderer Dead After Six-Hour Standoff

Mark Richard Geisenheyner, wanted for the murder of a toddler and an adult male, and the shooting of three other people, is dead, officials say.

A massive manhunt for a killer is over. Mark Richard Geisenheyner, a suspect in the shootings of five people that left a child and man dead in Montgomery County, is dead after a six-hour standoff with police in Trainer, Delaware County. A short time ago, Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele confirmed that the Delaware County medical examiner declared Geisenheyner dead today. Suspect in Gilbertsville Murders Confirmed Dead

Montco First Assistant DA Kevin Steele confirmed the death of Mark Geisenheyner, 51, a suspect in Saturday's brutal slayings.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's office, Mark Geisenheyner, 51, a suspect wanted for shooting five people in Glbertsville in Montgomery County on Saturday, was killed by police today in the 4300 block of Post Road in Trainer, PA, in Delaware County. Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele confirmed Geisenheyner's death with Pottstown Patch editor Teresa McMinn early this afternoon.
