Love Stories: Michelle Loves Matt

Patch asked our readers for love stories on Valentine's Day and Michelle Stem shared her tale of high school friends turned sweethearts.

Matt Stem and Michelle Blattner met on the first day of high school. The year was 2000, and during the welcome assembly at Norristown Area High School, a sarcastic comment led to a friendship over the next several years. "We were friends, but each of us always had a significant other," wrote Michelle. "We even took our prom pictures at his house senior year." As the years wore on, the pair realized that they wer made for one another. Their son Ethan was born in May 2007, followed by another son, Parker, in February 2009. One day Matt won a free trip to Hawaii and during a seven-hour layover in Las Vegas, the couple were married. Hawaii become their honeymoon. According to Michelle, Matt owns his own carpentry business while she works at a …

'I Never Thought I'd Find Love in Norristown,' Says Valentine's Bride

Lynessa Solomon and Samuel Lewis Brown were married today on Valentine's Day by Judge Frances Lawrence.

"Opposites definitely attract," Solomon said with a sly smile. The groom and his entourage soon arrived and the happy party made its way into the courtroom where Judge Frances Lawrence performed the ceremony. The bride cried through much of it. "I …

My son said this weekend he is ready for that day. He is going to propose to his girlfriend. They have been boyfriend and girlfriend for almost a year now, so he says it is time. May I remind you, he is now 6 years old. On his day off this holiday weekend, I took him for a special trip to Arnold’s Family Fun Center in Oaks. We had a great time playing laser tag, driving go-karts and playing arcade games. Afterwards, we took our ticket winnings to the prize center, as usual. After scouring racks of toys, candy and games, his eyes finally fixed on what he wanted to…
