Three Hospitalized in Port Indian Road Crash

An early morning crash in West Norriton sent three people to area hospitals on Sunday.

Norristown Patch received alerts about a serious car accident in the 700 block of Port Indian Road early Sunday morning that required several victims to be flown by medevac to area hospitals. According to ABC6 Action News, the crash happened at approximately 12:40 a.m. and required two people to be rescued after the impact trapped them inside their vehicle.  According to The Times Herald, the incident began with a minor fender bender at Egypt and West Main Street, but moved to Port Indian Road after one of the vehicles involved in the initial accident tried to flee. The other driver followed, calling the plate number into police. The chase reportedly ended when the fleeing vehicle hit a tree along Port Indin Road. A total of three people …

Busy Night for First Responders in Norristown

Several shootings, serious accidents and at least one assault that may have resulted in a medevac kept police on their toes Saturday night.

The night is barely through and Norristown Police and emergency responders have had their hands full with multiple reports of shots fired, at least one serious car accident and one assault that may have resulted in a victim with a head injury being medevaced to an area hospital. Details on most of tonight's activity are still scarce, but police are investigating at least three shooting incidents within several hours late afternoon and early evening on Saturday, Jan. 5. Reports of the first incident surfaced sometime around 4 p.m. – shots fired in the area of the 200 block of East Oak Street. Police were unable to confirm details of that incident. Teens Hospitalized After Late Night Accident in West Norriton

Two teens were flown by medevac to area hospitals after a car crash on Indian Port Road late Wednesday night.

Pieces of a red Volkswagon still litter the side of a road in West Norriton where the vehicle was involved in a crash that sent two teens to the hospital late Wednesday night. According to Corporal Al Fazio of the West Norriton Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12. on the 700 block of Port Indian Road. Officers reportedly arrived on the scene to find a red Volkswagon Beatle with visible severe damage indicating that the vehicle had rolled over. The Volkswagon appeared to have hit an embankment and then a tree. Midnight Car Accident at Main & Markley Sends Four to Hospitals

At least one victim was flown by medevac to HUP while three others were transported to nearby Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.

A two-car collision at Main and Markley streets shortly after midnight sent four men to the hospital – one by medevac – for treatment of their injuries. An officer from the Norristown Police Department was in the parking lot at the rear of the McDonald's at Main and Markley streets at 12:03 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, speaking to an individual who had flagged him down when the men heard a loud crash. As the officer rushed to the scene, several witnesses were running towards him to report the crash. The officer came upon the scene and discovered two cars that had obviously been involved in the crash resting in the northbound lane of Markley Street directly in front of the northeast corner. Norristown Man Flown to Philly Hospital After Assault

The man was reportedly hit in the head from behind with a hard object and robbed.

According to a report from the Norristown Police Department, a man was flown to a Philly-area hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained during a robbery in the West End Monday night. Officers responded to the 00 block of Hamilton Street shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, for a report of an assault victim at that address. On the scene, police spoke with a 40-year-old man who told them he was walking home from a store in the area of West Washington and Noble streets when he heard what sounded like footsteps behind him. The victim said before he could turn to see who was behind him, he was struck in the back of the head with what felt like a brick. Woman Medevaced, Brothers Arrested in Monday Night Assault

Two Norristown men were taken into custody and a woman transported to the hospital by helicopter following an assault on Monday night.

According to reports from the Norristown Police Department, police responded to the area of Haws Avenue and West Airy Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday night for a report of an assault that left a woman injured and lying on the ground. On the scene, officers discovered the victim, a 45-year-old Norristown woman, sitting on the on the sidewalk in the 600 block of West Airy Street, reportedly bleeding heavily from a head wound. The victim told police that her assailant, 21-year-old Timothy Byrd, "hit her in the head with a big stick" and then ran inside his residence on the 300 block of Haws Avenue. Young Teen Suffers Head Trauma in Fall on Powell Street

An unidentified 13-year-old girl was injured in a fall and is being medevaced for head trauma.

Multiple sources are reported a young teen injured in a fall on the 1300 block of Powell Street is being transported by helicopter for treatment of her injuries. According to the Breaking News Network, an unidentified 13-year-old girl suffered head trauma after a fall shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 in the 1300 block of Powell Street. Medical personell were reportedly with her on the scene and requested medevac by PennSTAR1. Sources report the girl was bleeding from the head. Child Burn Victim Transported to Hospital Saturday Afternoon

Few details available on the child who was reportedly medevaced from Norristown Saturday afternoon.

The Breaking News Network and @MontcoAlerts reported earlier today on a child who was transported by helicopter to a unnamed hospital for treatment of burns. The unidentified child reportedly suffered burns on his legs and body on the 600 block of Corson Street sometime shortly after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. The cause of the child's injuries are unknown, as are the child's current condition. Norristown Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.

Stabbing Reported at Kohn Street and Blackberry Alley

At least one victim is reportedly injured and being medevaced from the scene.

The Breaking News Network (BNN) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) live incident feed are reporting a stabbing in the area of Kohn Street and Blackberry Alley early Saturday morning, just after 1:30 a.m. The incident appers to have originally been reported just before 1:20 a.m. as a person with lacerations, but the incident was upgraded on DPS to stabbing shortly after. Few details are available but at least one victim is reportedly being medevaced from the scene. No word on the nature of the incident or whether authorities have a suspect in custody. Three Moore Street Shootout Suspects in Jail

Shawn Thomaston, Terrance Ferguson and Kenneth Ferguson are all currently being held in Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $1 million bail.

According to Philly.com, three of the suspects in the Aug. 7 shootout on East Moore Street are in custody and are being held in Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $1 million bail. Shawn Thomaston, of East Moore Street, and Terrance Ferguson and Kenneth Ferguson, of Philadelphia, were all arraigned and are currently being held in Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $1 million bail.  Roderick Perry, of Norristown, was also arraigned but released on his own recognizance so he could continue to be treated for his injuries. Shenequa Tensley, whose home was the scene of the abduction that precipitated the shootout is facing a summons on drug charges unrelated to the shootout.
