Police were on the scene at approximately 9:20 p.m. this evening responding to a shots fired call.
Patch readers are reporting a shots fired incident in the area of Moore and High streets sometime after 9 p.m. on Thursday evening, March 28. Details are few, but police were on the scene at approximately 9:20 p.m. and searching the area for evidence. Curently, no evidence has been found to corroborate initial reader reports of one person shot at the scene and no injuries have been reported in the incident thus far. Tweets from @TimesHeraldPA indicate that four shell casings were found at the scene and police may have been searching for a silver Honda in connection with the incident. Norristown Police have been unavailable to comment officially on the incident. Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.

Police say the three separate incidents of shots fired on Saturday night in Norristown were actually all attributable to one incident at Violet and Moore streets.
Norristown Police Chief Russell Bono confirmed that three separate shots fired incidents reported by Norristown Patch on Saturday evening, Jan. 5, were actually only one incident in the 400 block of Moore Street. Norristown Patch received the first reports of a shots fired incident shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday from several residents who identified East Oak and Arch as the possible location. The 23-year-old man found stabbed on the 500 block of Moore St. is in stable condition.
According to The Times Herald, the Norristown man who was found stabbed on Moore St. Friday night is in stable condition at Paoli Hospital and medical staff are reporting that his wounds are not life threatening. Last night, the Breaking News Network and the Montgomery County Department of Safety reported that police and EMS were dispatched to 509 Moore St. shortly before 8:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. The victim was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the stomach and arms. Medevac had been dispatched to the scene and the victim was transported to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center.
