Police Searching for Getaway Driver In Attempted Robberies in West Norriton, Norristown

West Norriton Police have a suspect in custody in the incidents but are still searching for his alleged accomplice.

According to The Times Herald, West Norriton Police are searching for another suspect in two incidents last week in which a Philadelphia man shot at a potential robbery victim in West Norriton and assaulted another in Norristown. Police say 21-year-old Kyante Blakely, of Philadelphia, attempted to rob a pizza delivery guy who was making a delivery at on N. Montgomery Ave. in West Norriton at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27. According to the victim, Blakely reportedly got out of a burgundy Ford Taurus with tinted windows with his face covered. Police: Strong Arm Robber Robbed of Own Gun in Mid Robbery

Three men are facing charges stemming from a series of hapless attempted robberies early Tuesday morning.

According to reports from the Norristown Police Department, a Philadelphia man, a Norristown man and an Ardmore man are all facing charges from a series of incidents that began with a robbery and shooting in West Norriton and ended with the three men in custody for various charges involving drugs, robbery, assault and weapons charges. Police had reportedly been flagged down in the 500 block of West Marshall Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday by a man bleeding from a gash in his face. The man reportedly told police that he had been robbed and pistol whipped by a mugger, later identified as 21-year-old Kyante Blakely, of Philadelphia, but that had been able to overcome his would-be attacker with the help of a relative who happened…

Correction: West Norriton Teen Arrested for Robbing Woman of $20

Ryan Dobbs-Holland, 18, is being charged with robbery, theft and simple assault.

According to The Times Herald, a West Norriton teen was arrested on Christmas Eve for snatching a $20 bill from a woman walking home on West Main Street after visiting an ATM. Ryan Dobbs-Holland, 18, is being charged with robbery, theft and simple assault, after he allegedly grabbed a $20 bill out of a young lady's hand as she was walking home on the 1200 block of West Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 24. Police caught up with Dobbs-Holland shortly after 8 p.m. and he was positively identified by the victim. Read more about the incident here.
