With craft beers on tap and locally sourced produce, Guppy's Good Times opened this Thursday.
Guppy's Good Times, with a popular location in Conshohocken, opened their second location on Thursday in East Norriton. The new bar and restaurant has 12 craft beers on tap and serves lunch and dinner. As previously reported on Patch, Guppy's recycles every bottle, reserves Saturday nights for charity fundraisers, has live bands Thursdays, Friday and Saturday nights, and sources as much produce and meat from Maple Acres Farm in Plymouth Meeting. Guppy's Good Times Bar has an early April opening planned.
Hot spot in Conshohocken is spreading the "good times" in East Norriton. Guppy's Good Times bar will be opening a second location on Germantown Pike in East Norriton in early April. Robin Gupta, owner of Guppy's, said the new location will have the same feel as the Conshohocken location, but with a slightly more modern look to it. Looks aside, the values of Guppy's will be the same across the board - they will recycle every bottle, Saturday nights will be for charities, and food sourced from the local farm, Maple Acres Farm in Plymouth Meeting. The shopping center is bookended with a new Dunkin' Donuts on one end and a new bar coming at the other.
East Norriton residents are getting a few new shops in the Hillcrest Plaza Shopping Center. A new Dunkin' Donuts just opened at one end of the shopping center and it's having a big grand opening celebration on Saturday, Jan. 12. Stop by from noon to 1 p.m. for free coffee and giveways and prizes including gift cards to Target, Walmart, Dunkin' Donuts and local mobie theaters and even a Kindle Fire HD. The first 300 customers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. get free mugs. There will also be face painting, balloons and a petting zoo for the kids. Several new businesses are scheduled to open soon in our area.
As economic recovery slowly but surely makes headway in the business sector, evidence of it is all around our area with several new businesses coming to the area. The Times Herald recently reported on the new eatery moving in across the street from the Montgomery County Courthouse. The Court Order Grille will be opening Monday morning in the corner spot previously home to Planet Hoagie at Swede and East Airy streets. Apparently a sign in the window lists the businesses hours of operation as Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Over in East Norriton, a vacant spot at 2953 Swede Road in Swede Square (right next to the L.A.
