The law does not implement new restrictions on firearm sales or purchases.

A Brad Fox Law is headed for Gov. Tom Corbett's desk, though it's perhaps not the one some gun control advocates might hope for. House Bill 898, which imposes a mandatory minimum five-year sentence for the second and subsequent violations of the provisions of state law governing the sale of firearms, was unanimously passed by the state Senate on Wednesday. The law also permanently revokes any license to sell, import, or manufacture firearms from such violators. The bill, now known as the "Brad Fox Law," was passed by the state House in April 2011. State Representative Marcy Toepel (R-147), who introduced the bill, said it had taken on "new significance" in the wake of Fox's murder last month. Fox's apparent killer, Andrew Thomas, who was …

Brad was family but I have to agree with Hale. Brad was a Marine who fought for these same rights that many people now want to revoke in his name. How does that honor his memory? What I would like to see is the straw purchasers receiving identical punishment as the perpetrators of the crimes they armed unlawfully the first time around, none of this 'second offense' nonsense.   more ›

Man Accused of Selling Murder Weapon Says 'Sorry' to Fox Family

Bail was set at $1 million for Michael Henry, who is accused of reselling the 9mm Beretta that Andrew Charles Thomas used to kill Plymouth Police Officer Bradley Fox last month.

"Sorry." That was the one word uttered by Michael Henry, the man accused of purchasing and reselling the 9mm Beretta that Andrew Charles Thomas used to kill Plymouth Police Officer Bradley Fox last month. Reporters threw a barrage of questions at Henry as he entered and exited a Plymouth Meeting court room Wednesday afternoon for his arraignment: "Did you do it for drugs? Did he tell you he was going to shoot a cop? What do you have to say for yourself?" All were answered with silence, as Henry, wearing blue jeans and a gray hoodie, trudged head down to and from a Plymouth police car. As he was placed back into the car to be driven away, one reporter asked if he had anything to say to the Fox family. "Sorry," Henry said quietly. During the…

Sign-A-Rama Honors Fallen Plymouth Officer

Norristown Sign-A-Rama owner Gene Schneider created a banner dedicated to Officer Bradley Fox, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

Many residents took note of the new banner flying in front of the Sign-A-Rama in Studio Centre on Markley Street in Norristown. The sign is dedicated to Officer Bradley Fox, a Plymouth Township police officer who was killed in the line of duty on Thursday, Sept. 13, when a traffic stop turned deadly. Norristown Sign-A-Rama owner Gene Schneider is known for his support of local servicemen, regularly creating banners gratis for families' of returning soldiers to help welcome them home. It was this same sentiment that led Schneider to hang a banner in front of his business offering condolences to the Fox family and heralding the officer as a hero. Mourning Officer Bradley Fox [PHOTOS]

Residents and law enforcement joined in ushering slain Plymouth Police Officer Bradley Fox on his final journey.

The body of slain Plymouth Police Officer Bradley Fox was transfered to Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home on Germantown Pike in East Norriton today via a procession of police and emergency vehicles.  Patch reader Kathy Walsh was on hand to photograph several legs of the procession and agreed to share her photos. We're asking other readers to share their photos from any memorials for Officer Fox. This tragedy has touched many of us and as much as we may want to, we can't all attend every ceremony. With our readers help, maybe we can all feel a little closer to the rest of the community who are grieving the loss of a good man.  Log into your Patch account and click on the "Upload Photos and Videos" button to add your own images and video.
