The Supreme Court will wrap up business for its latest session on Thursday including handing down a highly anticipated ruling on President Barack Obama's controversial health care reform law. This is a very good reason, not only to contribute to Romney, but also help get Joe Rooney in to office to replace Allyson Schwartz as she voted for Obamacare without even reading the entire bill. I guess she thinks if she never gets voted out of office that it won't effect her!   more ›

Corbett's Approval Drops to 36 Percent

Fewer Pennsylvanians think Gov. Tom Corbett is doing a good job

By Melissa Daniels | PA Independent  HARRISBURG — Gov. Tom Corbett hit an all-time low this week. Thirty-six percent of voters approve of the way the first-term governor and former Pennsylvania attorney general is doing his job, compared with 47 percent who disapprove, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.   Do you approve of the governor's job performance? But these figures don’t bother Corbett — he doesn’t read polls, he said. “If I was looking at the polls, I wouldn’t be doing some of the things I’m doing, would I?” Corbett said.  The poll queried 997 registered voters from June 5-10 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. Corbett's approval …

White House To Host Hispanic Summit For Philly-Area Residents

The event will cover topics including jobs, the economy, education, healthcare and housing.

  According to a release issued by the White House, the Obama administration will host four more Hispanic Community Action Summits in Philadelphia; Arlington, Virginia; Silver Spring, Maryland; and Livermore, California in the coming weeks.  The events are the latest in an ongoing series of regional meetings across the country providing an opportunity for Senior Administration Officials to engage members of the Hispanic community on a wide range of issues critical to creating an economy built to last, including the President’s “To Do List” for Congress that would create jobs and help restore middle class security.   Participants in the upcoming summits will discuss topics including jobs and the economy, education, healthcare, housing and …
