Alexis Scott, 20, of Norristown, was arrested along with an unidentified teen in a Philadelphia hotel.
According to Fox29, Philadelphia Police arrested 20-year-old Alexis Scott, of Norristown, and an unidentified 15-year-old girl in a prostitution bust in the North American Motor Lodge on the 4000 block of City Avenue in Philadelphia last Thursday. The teen allegedly solicited an undercover officer at the hotel. The pair are reportedly facing prostitution and drug-related charges. According to court records, Scott was remanded to Riverside Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 22. Read more about the case here.

The sting at West Main and Knox streets last week was a joint operation between the Norristown Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police.
UPDATE: [Nov. 8, 12 p.m] According to police records, only 13 men were arrested in last week's prostituion sting. The records department initially reported 14 incident numbers connected to the case, but now report that only 13 arrests were made. Council members applauded the recent successful measures the police have taken to help the residents of West Main Street clean up their neighborhood.
Norristown Municipal Council took some time out of a jam-packed agenda at Tuesday evening's meeting at Norristown Municipal Hall to commend Police Chief Russell Bono and the Norristown Police Department on its recent success in helping the residents in the area of the 600 block of West Main Street to clean up the neighborhood. The department had conducted a prostitution sting in the area over the weekend, resulting in 15 arrests. The sting was yet another effort by police to respond to residents of the neighborhood who spoke at a September council meeting, asking for help in fighting the rising criminal activity they were seeing in the area.
